My Holiday To Do List
Thank Jesus...
When you receive an invite, say "Will this add joy to my life?" If not, decline kindly.Forgive and make amends. Forgiving heals wounds. I never go to sleep angry.
Get the whole family involved. I started a Family tradition and it gets better each yr.
Take time for yourself every day! I do this through Yoga and prayer.
Simplify your gift giving. I am making gifts for my loved ones.
Go out of your way once this holiday season to do a good deed for someone else. Set up a holiday savings account, get a jump start on 2009 savings.

Nutcracker fairy tale ballet story...
Thursday was Opening Night at Opera House for the Nutcracker. The Nutcracker has become a Holiday tradition. The music is magnificent! Of course, I purchased jewelry from the boutique. My eyes led me to a star Swarovski crystal brooch and I couldn't leave it behind :)
This weekend, we'll be singing carols at Noel Night. I hope to meet Sheila and her friends at the Museum at 6pm. Sunday will enjoy The White Christmas at the Fox Theatre with Ms. Patricia. It's bigger than that though, our goal will be to raise funds for Cornerstone Schools. God bless the children.
You can find me at the Breaking the Glass Ceiling 10yr Celebration tonight in Bloomfield Hills! Let me know if you have recommendations on what I should wear? Crystals, Glitter, Sequins...

Trust in God
There was a man whose family had nothing to eat. So he decided that he would take his old shot gun and his last three bullets and go hunting for their dinner. He had not gone far when he saw a rabbit and took aim, but his shot missed its mark. Then the man saw a squirrel and fired, but again he missed his target. He went a little further, and spotted a turkey in a tree. He took careful aim realizing this was his last chance, when a voice said to him, "pray first, aim high and stay focused." Then the man saw a deer which was a better kill, lowering the gun he took aim, but as he was about to pull the trigger, there was a rattlesnake between his legs about to bite him, instinctively he brought the gun down to shoot the snake. When he heard the voice again, "I said, pray, aim high and stay focused." So the man prayed, aimed the gun high up in the tree shot the turkey. The bullet bounced off the turkey and killed the deer, and the handle fell off the gun and killed the snake. When the gun fired, it knocked the man into a pond. When he stood up, the man's pockets were full of fish, and he also had a deer and a turkey to eat. Moral of the story: "Trust in GOD and don't become discouraged because HE knows what is ahead; pray first before you do anything, aim and shoot high at your goals...and stay focused on HIM."God bless!
This Christmas..
The greatest gift is a gift of love #2) time #3) store gift.
Give the gift of LOVE this holiday season. Surprise everyone on your Christmas gift list by giving them gifts that give back. Give your love, your time, your efforts and your amazing skills as a person.
Christmas is the time of year to truly give the best gift of all---yourself. Do people really need to get meaningless, expensive gifts that you'll be paying off for the next year? Tell your friends, relatives and spouse how you really feel. Give your LOVE to them this holiday season. Wrap your arms around them and don't let go, because Jesus is the reason for the season. God is love.
Give the gift of time this year, take the family to lend a helping hand, talk to senior citizens. You could always volunteer at a Gleaners Food Bank or Capuchin Soup Kitchen by unloading trucks or helping to cook a meal.
With gift coupons, you have to follow the Pooh Principle: "Think, think, think." A good coupon says you know what the receiver loves or needs. Try to give something that requires your talents and that you won't regret. For example, good for...one hour of garage-cleaning; one day of golf lessons, picnic lunch; two hours of gardening next summer; one knitted pair of mittens, you pick the yarn; one dozen cupcakes; one hour of fashion consulting. Redeemable Monday.
People will love these gifts, because they were handmade, thoughtful and came from your heart, not the store.

Gleaners Food Bank!
Last night we didn't make it on Fox 2 News but we did exceed our goal of raising $75,000 at our Double Your Dollar event. The Detroit Community is so kind and with the match we reached over half a million dollars. It was very exciting to give and be a part of fundraising, Gleaners supplies food to various organizations in the Detroit Metro area. Today, I was able to work hard and then have a nice dinner at home. It's hard to rest, watching the Big 3 News Updates. On a better note, the Egg Nog shakes are back at McDonalds, I'll be back :)
